About Me
Courses taught (so far): 8th grade science, biology, chemistry, forensics
Goals: to help students see that science is exciting, interesting, and relevant
Background: I was actually born in Victor, and lived on Somerset lane until I was 4. I then moved to Grand Island, NY and grew up on the island, graduating from Grand Island HS in 2000.
I then spent 3 1/3 years at RIT getting my B.S. in Biology. I was also fortunate enough to get to go to the Galapagos Islands through RIT, which was an amazing trip and one that I would highly recommend for anyone, even non-science geeks.
I then went to the U of R and got my M.S. in science education, student teaching at (then) Wilson Magnet HS and Fairport's Johanna Perrin MS.
I have been teaching at Victor ever since. My first year I was split between the senior and junior high school; since that point I have been in the high school exclusively.
I have had a great time here at Victor and I am looking forward to another great year at VCS!
